Wine Advocate-Parker : The 2012 Corton Grand Cru Clos des Marechaudes is a monopole belonging to Maison Albert Bichot. The nose is fragrant and lifted with crushed violets and hints of cassis - a generous and outgoing bouquet, like a distant relative of Bonnes-Mares. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, rounded tannins forming the basis of this grand cru that is more feminine than others in Corton. There is good weight in the mouth with white pepper lingering on the aftertaste. Fine - but it will need 4 or 5 years to soften.
